  American Industrial Hygiene Association: British Columbia and Yukon Section
A local section of the AIHA whose purpose is to unite industrial hygienists and safety practitioners who work for consulting firms, private and public corporations, many branches of government, Universities and WorkSafeBC.
 
  BC Association for Crane Safety
This association promotes the development of an industry-driven crane operator qualification system in British Columbia. The association board has representation from various private bodies that have a stake in the development of that system. These representatives or stakeholders have been defined as those who either operate or own cranes.
 
  BC Forest Safety Council
The BC Forest Safety Council was founded in the fall of 2004 as a direct result of the work and recommendations of the Forest Safety Task Force. The Task Force had created a comprehensive strategy to dramatically improve the safety record of the BC Forest Sector, with a primary recommendation being to establish a permanent safety infrastructure. The Council's mandate is to work within the forest industry to eliminate fatalities and injuries. As a result of their participation in creating and maintaining improved health and safety programs, industry performance and output will be dramatically improved.

To be a leader in the production and transfer of injury prevention knowledge and the integration of evidence-based injury prevention practices in the daily lives of those at risk, those who care for them and those with a mandate for public health and safety in British Columbia.
 
  BC Nurseline
BC NurseLine provides 24-hour, confidential health information and advice. Anywhere in the province, call BC NurseLine to speak to a registered nurse 24-hours or a pharmacist from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. every day. Specially trained nurses answer questions about health topics and procedures, identify symptoms, and help you decide when to see a health professional. Information and referrals are also provided to other services.
 
  BC Occupational Health and Safety List of Education & Training Providers
The WCB of B.C. receives many calls from people requesting information about companies who provide training and consultation services on various workplace health and safety topics. In response, the WCB has prepared this list of B.C. Occupational Health and Safety
 
  BC Trucking Safety Council (BCTSC)
The BCTSC’s mandate includes consulting with the industry, developing measurable prevention interventions, and facilitating a Certificate of Recognition program for the trucking industry.
 
  British Columbia Environmental & Occupational Health Research Network
BCEOHRN supports BC's environmental and occupational health researchers by building linkages to foster a new model of province-wide collaboration and communication that over time will generate ground-breaking knowledge.
 
  British Columbia Institute of Technology: Occupational Health and Safety Program
The primary goal of the BCIT Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Program is to equip students with the tools, resources, and technical skills they need for practicing effectively as OH&S generalists.
 
  British Columbia Institute of Technology: Occupational Health Nursing Program
This program provides the specialized body of knowledge, skills, and leadership abilities to practice at a beginning level in a wide variety of organizations. It offers experienced Registered Nurses either an Advanced Specialty Certificate in Occupational Health Nursing after completing 33 credits.
 
  British Columbia Municipal Safety Association
The British Columbia Municipal Safety Association is a non-profit society which provides a common focal point for the Occupational Health and Safety concerns in the Municipal environment. The purpose of the association is to identify, address and create learning opportunities on the safety issues which face their members.
 
  British Columbia Safety Authority
The British Columbia Safety Authority (BCSA) is a not for profit corporation that administers the service delivery components of the Safety Standards Act. The Authority delivers services which apply to work and products related to passenger ropeways, amusement devices, boilers and boiler systems, electrical equipment, elevating devices and passenger conveyors, gas systems and equipment, pressure vessels and piping, railways and refrigerator systems and equipment

A non-profit organization, helping business and individuals prevent injury through safety education. They strive to upgrade levels of safety in all - through training, education and advocacy.
 
  Community Against Preventable Injuries
More British Columbians under the age of 45 are killed each year by preventable injuries than any other cause. The Community Against Preventable Injuries is committed to change; providing the tools to reduce injury in your community. They have developed a provincial, multi-media, multi-touchpoint social marketing campaign designed to make British Columbians aware of the magnitude of the issue and the multitude of situations where injuries can be prevented.
 
  Construction Safety Association of British Columbia
The CSABC (Construction Safety Association of British Columbia) is a non-profit organization that is owned and operated by the construction industry of British Columbia. Its goal is to reduce the number and duration of workplace injuries and to lower contractor costs.
 
  Construction Safety Network
The Construction Safety Network is a not-for-profit society that helps members of the BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association, Independent Contractors and Businesses Association of BC, Canadian Home Builders' Association of BC, BC Ready-Mixed Concrete Association, Aggregate Producers Association of BC, and other BC construction companies reduce the number and severity of work place injuries.
 
  Electrical Industry Training Institute Ltd.
Electrical Industry Training Institute (EITI) is a leading private trades training institute in Surrey, BC. EITI has been providing apprenticeship and journeyperson upgrading training for the electrical industry since 1991. EITI's programs include a broad range of trades training, safety training and industry awareness courses. We currently offer over 75 courses for journeyperson upgrading, as well as full apprenticeship programs for powerline technicians and utility arborists. EITI offers the only pre-apprenticeship program for powerline technicians in Western Canada.
 
  Employers' Advisers Office: Ministry of Labour and Citizens' Services (B.C.)

The Hazardous Materials Association is a non-profit association of professional contractors, and other concerned organizations or individuals involved in the hazardous materials industry in the Province of British Columbia.
 
  Kelowna and District Safety Council
The Kelowna and District Safety Council Society is a not for profit organization dedicated to promoting safety awareness and accident prevention within Kelowna and the surrounding communities by educating the public about a variety of safety issues. KDSC also cooperates with other like-minded organizations in an effort to reduce accidents and injuries.
 
  Labour Relations Board of British Columbia

  Occupational Health and Safety Agency for Healthcare in British Columbia
The Occupational Health and Safety Agency for Healthcare in BC (OHSAH) was conceived in early 1998 in an Accord between management and union representatives. The Accord resulted in the creation of OHSAH, an agency with the goal of reducing workplace injuries and illness in healthcare workers and returning injured workers back to the job quickly and safely.
 
  Occupational Health Nurses of British Columbia
The essence of occupational health nursing is the prevention of illness/ injury and the promotion and maintenance of health. The occupational health nurse influences both employees and the workplace through programs and a shared responsibility for safe and healthy workers, work practices and work environments.
 
  Psychologically Healthy Workplace Collaborative
Their aim is to enhance and ensure the health, productivity and sustainability of Canadian workers and workplaces. The Collaborative is a Standing Committee of the British Columbia Psychological Association.

  Safety Advisory Foundation for Education and Research (SAFER)

  Safety and Health in Arts Production and Entertainment (SHAPE)
SHAPE is a not-for-profit association that was established in 1998 as the safety and health association for the performing arts and motion picture industry in British Columbia. SHAPE was created at the request of industry representatives and the Workers' Compensation Board of British Columbia in recognition of the unique nature of the entertainment industries.
 
  Stop Workplace Bullying
CUPE BC's new Stop Workplace Bullying website is filled with campaign updates, resources, information and links aimed at making CUPE members and the public aware of the nature and extent of personal harassment, bullying and mobbing that exists in workplaces and make it clear that "it's not part of the job".
 
  Student WorkSafe Planning 10 (Workers' Compensation Board of British Columbia)
A recommended resource of The Ministry of Education, it has been significantly revised to support the new Planning 10 curriculum. Relevant materials from the existing Student WorkSafe 10, 11 and 12 have been combined to address the Ministry's new policy on Work Experience Requirements for Graduation and Workplace Safety. This resource includes six lesson plans, each designed to correspond to one or more prescribed learning outcomes from the provincially prescribed Planning 10 curriculum.

The Vancouver Island Safety Council specializes in traffic safety education for everyone, using many forms of transportation. We have been serving the South Island community for over 30 years, educating thousands of people to be safer pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and motorcyclists.
